The TEF is a test created by the CCI Paris Île-de-France and comes in several versions depending on your goal: TEF Canada (Express Entry, permanent residence), TEF Naturalisation (French nationality), TEFAQ / TEF Québec (Québec immigration) and TEF for the resident card. Results are mapped to the CEFR levels (A1 to C2) and recognised by Canadian, Québec and French authorities. Unlike a diploma such as the DELF, the TEF is a test whose certificate is valid for roughly two years.
