French for Arabic Speakers
Lessons built around the real hurdles Arabic speakers meet in French.
Going from Arabic to French isn't starting from nothing, it's clearing a very specific set of hurdles. The sounds Arabic doesn't have (P against B, V against F, the vowels É, È, EU, U), noun gender, articles, and verb tenses. At Frenchee, our native teachers know exactly where Arabic speakers struggle and build your path around those points. And if you're from the Maghreb with some French already, we start there, not from scratch.
Por qué el francés
- Targeted pronunciation work on P/B, V/F and the French vowels with no equivalent in Arabic, corrected out loud from your very first sessions.
- A real grip on gender and articles (le/la, un/une) through practical cues instead of exhausting rote memorization.
- Verb conjugation made approachable: present, passé composé, imparfait and future tenses explained step by step.
- French spelling and silent letters demystified, even when the Latin script feels like a trap.
- A starting point matched to your actual level, especially if you've already heard or spoken French in the Maghreb.

Preguntas frecuentes
I mix up P and B, V and F in French. Can that really be fixed?
Yes, it's one of the first things our teachers focus on. These sounds don't exist in Arabic, so it's about training your ear and the muscles of your mouth through guided listening and repetition, session after session.
I already know some French from the Maghreb. Do I have to start over?
No. The placement test shows what you already command and what's still shaky, and we build your path from there without wasting time on what you already know.
Noun gender and articles trip me up. How do I learn them?
Arabic handles this differently, so the confusion is completely normal. Our teachers give you practical cues and rules to guess gender, rather than memorizing every word one by one.
Are lessons taught in Arabic or in French?
It depends on your level. Early on, the teacher can lean on Arabic to clarify, then shifts gradually into French to immerse you while keeping everything understandable.
